Elite Tutoring was founded by Kevin Smith, in 2004. Kevin started his career as a high school mathematics teacher and later earned his masters in educational administration. As a teacher in the Los Angeles School District, he noticed that many students were not getting a quality education for various reasons, which led to many of them failing the CAHSEE. He decided to start tutoring the CAHSEE privately for students who wanted to learn and pass the CAHSEE but had been lost in the broken educational system.
